Long Position

A long position is a trading strategy in which an investor buys an asset, such as a cryptocurrency or stock, with the expectation that its value will increase over time. The investor profits from the trade by selling the asset at a higher price than what was initially paid.

For example, suppose an investor believes that the value of Bitcoin will increase over the next few months. The investor decides to take a long position by buying Bitcoin at the current market price. If the price of Bitcoin does indeed increase, the investor can sell the Bitcoin for a profit.
