Market Cap

Market capitalization, or “market cap” for short, is a measure of the total value of a cryptocurrency. It is calculated by multiplying the total number of coins or tokens in circulation by the current market price of a single unit. It is commonly used to rank cryptocurrencies by size and is an indicator of a coin or token’s overall value and popularity.

Large-cap coins businesses have a market capitalization of at least $10 billion and are regarded as secure crypto investments. On the contrary, mid-cap cryptocurrencies are more volatile but also offer much greater growth potential.
